APEX Germany exhibiting on major stand at IMA

Posted: 15 Dec 2011 08:27 AM PST

The new year in the international gaming world begins traditionally at the IMA in Germany. Traditions in the German AWP market have been linked to limited choice. APEX Germany is proud to be breaking this mould with a major presence at the forthcoming IMA.

APEX Germany will be presenting a whole range of new choice for operators in Germany over their 500 sq.m. stand.

The state-of-the-art Pinnacle upright AWP with two 22" monitors has been approved by the German testing board PTB. This is a major breakthrough not just for APEX Germany but indeed the entire German AWP market. Operators have immediate access to a gaming product from a leading international gaming machine manufacturer with a proven track record over many years.

The IMA 2011 saw APEX gaming take a large stand to present its intentions to the German AWP market. "We could have taken orders non-stop if we would have been certified then", remembers Mr. Johannes Weissengruber, CEO and founder of APEX gaming. "We took the conscious decision to really invest in the last IMA. Operators took away the clear impression that a major successful international manufacturer will be entering this market. We had many invaluable conversations with operators to understand their true requirements".

The results can be found in the new generation of Pinnacle. Brand-new innovations both on the hardware and software side have been introduced especially for the German AWP market. It is this focus on providing the local market exactly what it needs that persuaded the well-respected German industry veteran Mr. Udo Nickel to join APEX Germany. He explains, "APEX gaming has an excellent international reputation yet is entering a new market here in Germany. Therefore, our job is to raise the company profile here and I am very confident of our success here. Since the last IMA, APEX Germany has been founded near Munich, we have the Pinnacle certified for sale with another three gaming machines on the way. Furthermore, we have built up a strong team in Germany. We have set up agreements with local distributors all around Germany. We have a 24/7 service line and customers can buy spare parts on our webshop. In short, we have put the necessary structure in place to support operators throughout Germany".

Mr. Nickel concludes, "We will be breaking the German AWP mould. The major companies only offer their machines for lease or rent. We are offering the casino-quality Pinnacle for sale – including the Magic Classic games package. This is what operators want and we respect their wishes".

APEX Germany GmbH will be exhibiting on stand 8a in Hall E50 at the IMA in Düsseldorf, Germany, between 17th and 20th January 2012.

ISLE OF MAN QuickFire, powered by Microgaming (www.quickfiregames.co.uk), today announces its new contract with operator ComeOn!

ComeOn! is an innovative fast moving gaming company operating  primarily in Europe and South America.  It was this international market presence that prompted it to work with QuickFire. When selecting an additional software provider, ComeOn! was impressed with QuickFire's international experience and ease of integration.

The deal with ComeOn! is the first time QuickFire has delivered a suite of Microgaming games to a fully seamless, multi-currency, single wallet operator site. Players can now take advantage of a wider range of games and will be able to compete for bigger jackpots, including the industry's largest pooled jackpot, which Microgaming's software is the power behind.

Ralph Murphy, spokesperson for ComeOn! said: "We are hugely excited about working with QuickFire and anticipate that the high standard of Microgaming's casino offering will greatly enhance our reputation. QuickFire's ease of integration and single wallet proposition is hugely important given our international reach. ComeOn! has always strived to ensure it has the best casino content possible and now has access to even more leading game titles and pooled jackpot offerings, which we are confident can provide unparalleled entertainment to our players. We have already launched the most popular Microgaming games and will continue to roll out the suite over the forthcoming months."

Ashley Sandyford-Sykes, QuickFire Spokesperson, said: "It is fantastic to be partnering with ComeOn! and we look forward to offering an enhanced gaming experience to its players across the globe. We have no doubt the unbeatable speed at which we can integrate with existing systems, coupled with the reputation of Microgaming's content, will enhance the experience for ComeOn's existing players and attract huge numbers of new users to the site."

Smatrix series certified according to LGC Forensics

Posted: 15 Dec 2011 01:37 AM PST

LGC Forensics, formerly Kalagate, checks if the pictures recorded by the digital video surveillance system meet the requirements decisive for an argumentation in court. This means for instance that the pictures’ quality has to meet certain criteria and that there has to be an encryption to protect against external access to the “closed” system and to avoid extraneous manipulation. Furthermore, the recording systems have to be designed fraud-resistant, so that the authenticity of the picture can be assessed when copying data to DVD, e.g. with an electronic water mark.
