NAVAJO NATION GAMING ENTERPRISE CHOOSES BALLY SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS; IMPLEMENTS iVIEW DM™ AND ELITE BONUSING SUITE™ TO CREATE TOTAL PLAYER EXPERIENCE THROUGHOUT CASINOS

Posted: 05 Jan 2012 08:53 AM PST

LAS VEGAS, January 5, 2012 — Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI), a leader in slots, video machines, casino-management, interactive applications, and networked systems for the global gaming industry, today announced that Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise has signed a master license agreement for Bally systems solutions following a thorough evaluation of all qualified system vendors.

The Navajo Nation chose Bally's iVIEW Display Manager™ (DM) and Elite Bonusing Suite to add excitement across the casino floor through a picture-in-picture-style player-user-interface that enables powerful interactive bonusing events on the gaming devices without interrupting slot play.

Implementation, which includes replacement of a competitor's system at two of the properties, will occur across the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise's casinos in the southwestern United States, starting with Flowing Water Navajo Casino, Northern Edge Navajo Casino, and Fire Rock Casino. The Navajo's flagship property, Twin Arrows Navajo Hotel & Casino Resort, currently under construction in Flagstaff, Ariz., is projected to open in the spring of 2013.

Along with iVIEW DM and the Elite Bonusing Suite, the Navajo Nation selected Bally's cutting-edge technology, which includes the latest release of SDS™/CMP™ 12 for Windows®; Bally Business Intelligence™; CoolSign® media-management; Bally Command Center™ for updating iVIEW content from a central location; the TableView™ real-time table rating and player-tracking system; and Service Tracking Manager™, Bally's award-winning mobile browser-based messaging application for slots and tables that dispatches patron requests to the closest personnel for improved customer service.

"We are dedicated to growing our enterprise for the good of the Navajo people, and as such, we needed a systems partner who shared the same commitment and had the core technology solutions to enable us to evolve our operation," said Derrick Watchman, Chief Financial Officer of the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise. "Bally's commitment to systems is undisputed, and they have invested in technology that will enable us to take our player-loyalty programs to the next level."

Among the technology selected by the Navajo Nation that will enhance customer loyalty is the iVIEW DM in-game player-user-interface, a backward-compatible picture-in-picture-style technology that works on gaming machines with a touch-screen display and enables casino operators to present bonusing applications, self-service features, player's club account access, and streaming video – all on the main game screen, without interrupting play.

The Navajo Nation also selected the Elite Bonusing Suite applications − interactive player-bonusing applications delivered through iVIEW DM − to engage and excite their patrons with floor-wide instant slot tournaments, virtual-racing events, and U-Spin™ real-time bonusing.

Bally's is also providing a one-card solution for the Navajo Nation's casinos to enable patrons to visit their different properties and use the same player's club card to be rewarded and recognized for their loyalty.

"Bally's seamless one-card patron-loyalty solution was very important to us and to our enterprise as we continue to build strong, lasting relationships with our customers and retain, reward, and recognize them properly through targeted, customized marketing programs. When you combine that with iVIEW DM and the Elite Bonusing Suite, Bally truly offers us a powerful suite of marketing, promotions, and player-rewards solutions," Watchman said.

"The Navajo Nation will be among the many prestigious casinos that, in the next three to six months, will be creating significant competitive advantages with the use of iVIEW DM and the various EBS applications which have been proven to create floor-wide excitement for patrons, and measurable ROI and increased profitability for casinos," said Ramesh Srinivasan, President and Chief Operating Officer of Bally Technologies. "We're honored that one of the most respected multi-site tribal casino operators in the United States chose Bally to be their long-term system partner."
