ISLE OF MAN – Microgaming (www.microgaming.com), the world's largest provider of online gaming software, is proud to announce that they have won the prestigious 'best casino software' award at this year's Gambling Online Magazine's Readers' Choice Awards.

This was the publication's eighth annual Readers' Choice Awards, and Microgaming has won this coveted accolade for the second time in a row. "We work hard to not only maintain but build on our strengths in the e-gaming sector and the fact that we have won this award again is a testament to our commitment to  providing unsurpassable software. The fact that we were chosen by readers makes this achievement even more satisfying as our end goal is always to create the best possible gaming experience for the players."

APEX gaming shows the way at the IMA

Posted: 14 Feb 2012 11:52 PM PST

APEX gaming can look back at an excellent IMA in Düsseldorf last January. The German AWP market no longer needs to be dominated by a small number of manufacturers. APEX is breaking the mould in design, quality, games and distribution possibilities. The lease-only model no longer applies. APEX gaming is providing the market with more choice. According to the company motto 'quality that can be owned', operators naturally have the option to purchase the complete APEX package – one of four cabinets with the complete games package.

The IMA is the most important gaming show in Germany and APEX gaming took the opportunity to communicate its long-term intentions to the market. The large stand of over five hundred

squares metres was needed to include the complete solutions from APEX gaming. All four cabinets have not been certified by the German test house PTB: The upright Pinnacle 22", the Pinnacle SL 26" slant top, the Pinnacle WM wall-mounted machine and the upright Dual Slim Line.

APEX gaming also took the opportunity to introduce its mobile gaming to the German market. This app has been designed for Android and Apple applications. The app includes five top APEX games with more to follow. Operators learnt how this app can be used as an excellent marketing tool to guide mobile players to the nearest APEX gaming machines. A simple click shows the player where he and she go if they wish to play APEX at a local arcade or bar.

The market can rely on APEX to bring innovation and value-added. The Pinnacle gaming machine family can cite much international success (which was mirrored at the international gaming exhibition ICE in London). Blending together style, design and quality – the Pinnacle cabinets attract players and keep them wanting to play. They compliment any gaming location. Only the best components are implemented (such as money handling where the JCM banknote recycler UBA RC is used as standard). The Pinnacle SL even has dual real HD high definition 26" monitors. The patented cooling system ensures that all components remain clean and cool. Thus, APEX gaming machines are well known and respected for their longevity – a great point given their popularity.

APEX gaming took the opportunity to introduce a further new games package to the German AWP market at the IMA. Hot Magic Fruits XXL offers a further twenty games to compliment the first games package released in Germany – Magic Classic. Each and every game is trialled as a single game in the market before being promoted to the APEX games library. This gives the operators the confidence that with APEX they are getting the right solution – excellently designed, top-quality cabinets alongside winning games. Add to this the fact that all this may be purchased.

APEX gaming saw to it that all visitors were looked after in traditional Austrian style. A wonderful selection of food and wines from the southern Styrian region of Austria ensured that visitors really enjoyed their stay on the APEX stand.

Mr. Udo Nickel, Sales Director at APEX gaming in Germany, was very pleased with the IMA: "Operators are so happy here in Germany they have a new, major international gaming machine manufacturer to choose from. The APEX gaming Group of Companies has grown to be a major international player. It was our intention that operators understand the international positioning – that is why we chose such a large stand. Furthermore, we have broken the lease-only mould by offering our casino-quality gaming machines for sale. This has been applauded by the market."
