I have a couple of company reviews for you this week, plus some other items you might find useful.
The first is small-cap company by the name of Promethean World. They make interactive white boards for businesses and schools, which I find amazing. These kids today don’t know how lucky they are. I’ve also updated the small-cap portfolio and the results are pretty amazing so far – exactly the sort of thing that investors should be wary of because it makes them think they’re geniuses.

The second company is Shell, the oil and gas supermajor. Since this is obviously a large-cap company I’ve reviewed and valued it using my large-cap checklist and valuation method. For once this turns out to be a company that I think is attractively valued.

Something else you might want to take a look at is the monthly update from Hugh Yarrow at Wise Investment. I guess I like Hugh because his approach and worldview are similar to mine, although there are significant differences in the details. Still, he always has something sensible to say about buying large, high quality businesses at low prices.
