Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) Advises British Columbia On Version 2 Of Technical Gaming Standards For Internet Gaming Systems

Posted: 01 Aug 2012 02:08 PM PDT

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada (1 August 2012) Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), the world's leading gaming testing technical consultancy laboratory, is pleased to have been once again engaged to provide advisory services for the revision of Technical Standards for Internet Gaming by the Province of British Columbia's Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB).

Salim Adatia CEO GLI Interactive

The update was the result of collaboration between GPEB, British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and GLI Canada. As a GPEB-accredited and British Columbia-based firm, GLI played a key technical advisory role in the creation of Version 2 of TGS5 – Technical Gaming Standards for Internet Gaming Systems. Key elements of the initiative were to address ongoing changes and technological advancements in internet gaming, including mobile gaming, as well as the inclusion of entirely new game product line offerings planned for the BCLC's PlayNow.com site, offered to players inside British Columbia.

BCLC's Director of eGaming Operations, Mr. Richard Fenster said, "Finalizing a technical standard that meets the needs of all concerned parties is a significant achievement made possible through a major investment of time and expertise of all involved including the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch and GLI Canada."

Since its 2010 acquisition of Technical Systems Testing (TST) – a firm with broad experience in internet gaming testing and regulation – GLI has amassed the world's foremost knowledge base in testing internet gaming products for highly regulated jurisdictions. For more than a decade GLI (TST) has either advised and/or drafted iGaming technical standards for highly respected iGaming jurisdictions such as British Columbia, Alderney, Italy, Nevada (USA), Tasmania (Australia), the UK and others. GLI has also provided technical standards consultancy to respected Tribes and/or Tribal associations in gaming and continues to work closely with Regulators and Tribes in emerging markets both domestically and abroad.

Salim Adatia, CEO of GLI Canada added, "It was an honour to heed the call to update the original version of the BC iGaming technical standard we originally helped put in place back in 2009. Updates such as the ones that were requested of GLI are natural in the course of iGaming operations within a jurisdiction and we applaud BCLC and GPEB for recognizing this. Technical standards must evolve with the rapid pace of technology, regulatory concerns, and player demand for new product offerings."

About Gaming Laboratories For nearly 25 years, Gaming Laboratories International, LLC has been the world leader in providing independent testing, inspection and certification services to the gaming, wagering and lottery industry. GLI also offers independent network and information security assessments to its regulatory, lottery and supplier clients. Panomera® to tour Europe

Posted: 01 Aug 2012 01:34 AM PDT

The Security Essen represents the starting signal for a quite extraordinary event for Dallmeier: a Panomera® Promotional European Tour with a show truck designed by Luigi Colani. The roadshow will take in 14 stops in five different European countries over a period of seven weeks.

460 hp and 36 tons rolling through Europe For the duration of Security Essen from 25th to 28th September, the Colani Panomera® Truck will demonstrate the unique, patented Panomera® technology on the open-air exhibition ground 2. As soon as the trade fair closes, the roadshow begins, and will travel through Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Italy.

Just like Panomera®, the show truck is something very special itself: it consists of an exclusive tractor unit created by design legend Luigi Colani, and its unusual, futuristic appearance attracts admiring stares wherever it goes. The tractor unit puts out an incredible 460 hp! This power enables the 16.5 m long, 36-ton truck to glide effortlessly down the road. And that’s not all: Even the show truck is fully consistent with Dallmeier's “Green Global Security" philosophy: the Colani-designed tractor is based on a standard DAF tractor unit, which was constructed on aerodynamic principles that enable a fuel consumption rate up to 25% lower than that of a conventional tractor unit!

The exceptionally spacious trailer, which of course will be adorned in the Dallmeier Panomera® design, provides a total of 80 m2 on two levels, serving as a remarkable setting for presenting the Panomera® technology. The patented multifocal sensor system, with which very large areas can be monitored in extremely high resolution, will be presented live in the truck. Visitors will have the chance to experience the amazing Panomera® effect at first hand and discover its simple, intuitive operating concept. Whether for airports, stadiums, logistics, seaports, large car parking facilities or public areas: Panomera® opens up unimagined realms of opportunity to the video security industry!

The Colani Panomera® Truck will make stops in many European cities. Anyone who is interested can visit between 10 am and 5 pm on any day. The registration form is available at: www.panomera.com/en/roadshow.html
