Last year, I shared a number of great Halloween resource sites for teachers, so I decided to find another selection and share them again this year: 1) DLTK have lots of different Halloween craft ideas that are suitable for children of different age groups. 2) The BBC’s Class Clips site has some spooky videos that could be used in class. Look in the featured area at the bottom for some suggestions or try searching for Halloween to find more! In the video below, some children interview Michael Morpurgo about atmospheric writing: 3) The Teachers Love SMART Boards blog has lots of resources, including clipart, games, activities, interactive whiteboard files and sound files. 4) We have recently made a new section of Halloween resources on Teaching Ideas, using some wonderful spooky cartoons that my wife has drawn! 5) Netmums have a number of Halloween activities that can be used during group activities and parties. 6) Spoonful have an enormous set of Halloween ideas, activities, printables, recipes and crafts that are well worth exploring. 7) Teachit Primary also have a number of free resources to use in your Halloween-themed lessons. 8 ) This site has lots of downloadable Halloween worksheets designed for EFL and TEFL groups. 9) The Kidz Page have a large selection of interactive Halloween games, including sudoku, logic puzzles, wordsearches and memory games. 10) KinderArt have 100 suggestions for things that you can do with a pumpkin. Some of these cover Art, Science and Maths concepts. What are your favourite Halloween resources? |
