Lots of great Teachmeet events take place around the world. For those unfamiliar with the concept, a Teachmeet is a chance for teachers to get together to share ideas and experiences from their own classrooms. I’ve attended a number of Teachmeets (and run a few Teachmeet-style staff meetings at my own school too) and I always come away full of new ideas to try. Anthony Evans is running a Teachmeet iPad event on November 8th at Saint Aidan’s Primary School in London. It’s for anyone who is ‘on the journey of iPad teaching, dabbling or full iPad integration to share experiences, lessons learned, latest apps or just anything that works!’. Come along to discover new ideas for using iPads (and other iOS devices) in your classroom! I’m very proud that my Teaching Appz site will be supporting the event. There will also be lots of prizes on offer for the teachers who come along! So far, the following developers have confirmed that they will be giving away some of their apps to those who attend the event: Teacher’s Pet, Nosy Crow, TeacherLED, Primary Games, Simon Haughton, Mr. Thorne Does Phonics, InKids, KeyStageFun, Arcademics, Motion Maths, The Champion Hare and demografix! If you’re able to come along to Teachmeet iPad, register for a free ticket here. You can also offer to give a presentation about your own classroom-based iPad experiences by editing the Teachmeet wiki. |
