10 Resources for Anti-Bullying Week

Anti-Bullying Week takes place next week (19th-24th November), so here are some fantastic resources that can support your anti-bullying and PSHE lessons:

1) The official Anti Bullying Week site has lots of information about the event, along with some useful ideas and resources for teachers.

2) Go-Givers offer free resources to help ‘develop caring and concerned citizens’. They have lots of free Anti-Bullying week activities and presentations for KS1 (aged 5-7) and KS2 classes (aged 7-11).

3) Teaching Videos has a number of videos about bullying that can be used as the starting point for discussion about the topic. Can your pupils explain the message that this video is sharing?

4) The Anti-Bullying Alliance has a number of activities and ideas that schools and other organisations can use.

5) Beat Bullying have a large collection of lesson ideas, assemblies, activities and information that teachers can use.

6) Kidscape offer lots of downloadable resources and videos for children, teenagers, parents and teachers.

7) ChildLine have some useful information and advice about bullying. Could your pupils use this to make a guide to help those who are being bullied?

8 ) CyberMentors is a great site for young people, offering them a place to go when they are being bullied, or are feeling a bit low, or are maybe troubled by something and they’re’re not sure what to do or who to talk to. They also have lots of great safety and privacy advice.

9) Digizen provide information for teachers, parents and young people about digital citizenship. They have a number of great resources about social networking and cyberbullying, including this award winning film with a related lesson plan for KS3 pupils.

10) Primary Resources have a special page of resources to use in lessons about bullying, including a ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ presentation.
