Resource Site of the Week: Twinkl Posted: 26 Nov 2012 09:00 AM PST
Twinkl is our latest 'Resource Site of the Week'. Read on to find out more about it and enter a competition to win a premium subscription! Twinkl was started by Jon Seaton and his teacher wife Susie two years ago. In that short time, Twinkl has grown considerably and now has designers, managers and other office staff. The connection to education is Susie, who is always the first port of call for advice and questions the Twinkl staff may have about the resources they are creating. The site offers over 60,000 EYFS, KS1 and KS2 resources as well as a new parents section. They also have a popular phonics app as well as quite a few secret projects in the pipeline! The most popular resources are the visual timetables and anything seasonal e.g. Christmas, Easter, Olympic resources. They also have a blog written regularly by Heather, who is a mum and teacher, which gives teaching inspiration and links to the calendar. Twinkl are also running a ‘Question and Answer’ session about jobs on their social media pages, in collaboration with Protocol Education. You can take part on their Facebook and Twitter pages from 7.30pm on Thursday 29th November. The Twinkl team have kindly offered two subscriptions to their premium resources as competition prizes for readers of Teaching News.
