Genting Casino Coventry at the Skydome officially opened its doors on Thursday 22nd November to welcome VIP guests from across the county.  The Lord Mayor of the City of Coventry, Councillor Tim Sawdon cut the ribbon along with Peter Brooks, President and Chief Operating Officer of Genting Casinos UK, Paul Willcock Managing Director of Genting Casinos UK and Tracey Gough, General Manager of Genting Casino Coventry. The club also staged a second public launch event on Friday 23rd November.

On the Thursday night guests at the new casino were entertained by a magician and singers Lewis Simmons and Heart FM award winning singer Tony Roberts. Guests included the entire Genting Casino Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey squad along with Casino Life magazine.

A special charity poker tournament was hosted with regular players facing up to the Coventry Blaze team. Each player that knocked out one of the six Blaze bounties won £30 and the casino  donated £30 to the Coventry Blaze Foundation charity.

Friday's public launch didn't fail to live up to the previous evening. Throughout the night, guests enjoyed entertainment from talent acts including magic, stilt walkers and a juggling unicyclist.  Coventry Blaze captain Shea Guthrie along with players Gerome Giudice and James Griffin entered the cash cube to collect as many tickets as possible to raise money for the Coventry Blaze Foundation, raising  £250 in total.

A free prize draw was run with lucky finalists entered the 'cash cube' to collect tickets to be in with a chance of winning some fabulous prizes. A delighted Carol Campbell won a signed Coventry Blaze shirt. Andy Entwhistle , Louis Rowe and Christopher Charley each won fantastic prizes including an iPhone 5 and a Smart TV.

Tracey Gough, General Manager of Genting Casino Coventry said 'The two evenings have been a tremendous success and we've received some fantastic feedback from guests who love the new casino and really enjoyed themselves. We are now looking forward to welcoming more new customers to our great new venue.'

The multi million pound investment has also resulted in the creation of 10 new roles being created.

The casino offers Roulette, Blackjack, Poker, Baccarat, Slots and Electronic Roulette. Poker players can play seven days a week in the dedicated card room. The stunning bar will also give customers a place to have a drink in a sophisticated atmosphere in the centre of town.

MICROGAMING LAUNCHES FESTIVE MULTI-PLAYER TOURNAMENT
