It was a very busy month for us with Peter White attending the opening of the Solaire in Manila and dropping by
Marina Bay Sands in Singapore; Damien Connelly went to Fer Interasar and then on to Lyon, where he interviewed Laurent
Lassiaz CEO Groupe JAO. Meanwhile I was in Melbourne.

Cyprus has been in the news for all of the wrong reasons but finally the government let slip that casinos may be

allowed despite an outright ban on land-based and online gaming last year. Meanwhile in Chile the government is busy revamping its gaming
legislation. In the UK, as an incentive to lure offshore online gaming companies back to Britain, a tax reduction of 10 to 15 percent is under consideration by the government

Back to this issue and we rightly applaud Frank Fahrenkopf Jr. who
has decided to bow out of the AGA after many successful years at the helm; I chat to Brett Anderson, CEO Christchurch Casino about how the casino coped in the Red Zone following the Earthquake last year; We talk to Jim Abbas, Vice President Casino Operations Norwegian Cruise Line
about player tracking, TITO and the charms of life on board ship; Deborah Modiano, Head of Ulys Israel office provides an insight into the way France is tackling the issue of Social Gaming.

Finally we warmly welcome Daniel Lindsay as our Guest Editor for our focus on "Technology in Casinos"'
