Dallmeier certified as AEO Authorized Economic Operator

Posted: 10 Apr 2013 03:45 AM PDT

In March 2013, Dallmeier received Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification and as such is recognised as a company with certificated “AEO-F, customs simplifications/security and safety” status.

The objective of the AEO programme is to secure the international supply chain from the manufacturer of an article to the end user. Issuance of this certification is therefore associated with extensive investigations regarding reliability, solvency, prior compliance with statutory and customs regulations, and fulfilment of certain safety and security standards.

Certification as an Authorized Economic Operator identifies Dallmeier as a reliable, trustworthy organisation in international commerce. As an AEO, the company may avail itself of advantages in the customs clearance procedure, such as simplified, faster customs clearance or fewer customs checks. The status of AEO represents an internationally recognised seal of approval and a quality feature for customers and business partners.

In conjunction with its certification as “Known Consignor”, which Dallmeier obtained at the end of last year, and which entitles Dallmeier to ship “secure air freight”, this status is further proof of the high quality standards the Dallmeier company attains consistently.

About Dallmeier Dallmeier has at its disposal more than 25 years of experience in transmission, recording as well as picture processing technology and is an outstanding pioneer of CCTV/IP solutions worldwide. This profound knowledge is used in the development of intelligent software and high quality recorder and camera technologies enabling Dallmeier to not only offer stand-alone systems, but complete network solutions up to large-scale projects with perfectly integrated components. Right from the beginning the company always focused on own innovative developments and highest quality and reliability. Dallmeier is the only manufacturer in Germany that develops and manufactures all components on its own. This includes the entire product range, from cameras to picture storage and transmission to intelligent video analysis and even individually adjusted management systems. Quality made by Dallmeier, made in Germany!

Over the years, Dallmeier has repeatedly given fresh impetus to the market with new developments and extraordinary innovations. The world's first DVR for example, which introduced digital recording to the entire CCTV industry, came from Dallmeier. The multifocal sensor system Panomera® will have a similarly groundbreaking effect: This unique and novel camera technology will revolutionise the market and open up completely new possibilities to the video security industry. This and the extensive experience in the CCTV and IP field have led to a top position in the international market for digital video surveillance systems.

Colombia Tracks Down Online Gaming Providers Before Regulations Come Into Place

Posted: 10 Apr 2013 03:40 AM PDT

Columbia is a haven for gaming, both land-based and online. Unsurprisingly though, they don't have any regulation in place for the online space, meaning every online gaming outlet is currently trading illegally.

Ahead of the formulation of new laws that will permit online gaming, Colombian regulator Coljuegos has issued a warning to unlicensed operators. Coljuegos president Rodrigo Vélez Jara has warned citizens that they currently have no legal protection while playing online and thus have no confidence in how fair each game is. He even goes so far to ask them to report any online gaming platforms that are unlicensed, just so they can be prosecuted more effectively.

Anyone found to be in breach of the law faces a fine and can be banned from offering gaming services in the region for up to five years. Not a single operator has been persecuted to date for online gaming. In fact, this is mostly because online poker and other games isn't inherently illegal – it's just not covered by current Columbian law.

Coljuegos has been tasked by the Columbian government to develop a regulatory framework that would support the licensing of online gaming. Just like with land-based gaming, a licensed online platform would help fund Colombian healthcare. This, however, leads Vélez to suggest that unlicensed offshore operators are "undermining the funding of public health services."

MECCA LAUNCHES CUSTOMER MAGAZINE

Posted: 10 Apr 2013 03:16 AM PDT

Believed to be a gaming industry first, Mecca has launched Mecca Mag, a new bi-monthly customer magazine. On-sale in all 97 clubs across the UK, the magazine has a cover price of £1 and an initial print run of 150,000 copies.  Selected content is also available on the Mecca website.

Written and produced by Result CC, the company behind the award-winning Morrisons customer magazine, Mecca Mag features real-life stories, celebrity exclusives, puzzles, fashion, food and fun.

The launch is part of a new Mecca brand strategy devised by marketing director, James Condon. Since joining the company last Autumn, he has undertaken a comprehensive review of marketing activity for online, mobile and clubs with the aim of delivering one consistent brand message across all channels.

Comments Condon, "The Mecca Mag is just one part of our new brand marketing campaign which will be launching this summer.

"The magazine reflects why our customers come to Mecca – for the chance to win money, have fun and catch-up with friends and family.

"The launch issue includes over £40 of offers and vouchers, has some great competitions as well as real-life stories so the magazine really is an extension of our brand. It offers a little bit of escapism and will, we hope, bring a smile to readers' faces.

"We know our customers are regular readers of weekly and monthly magazines and are confident that Mecca Mag will be an addition to their current repertoire as opposed to being a direct replacement."
