VIVA LAS VEGAS FOR NOTTINGHAM DUO

Posted: 19 Apr 2013 01:57 PM PDT

19 April 2013: Two members of staff from Nottingham's top entertainment venue were given the trip of a lifetime having smashed their sales targets. It meant Rebecca Deaville and Lauren Swift who work at Alea as marketing manager and marketing and events assistant respectively, jetted off to Las Vegas for a fun filled week of fine dining, shopping and taking in the sites of the self-styled 'Entertainment Capital of the World'.

Regarded as being one of the top tourist destinations in the world, Rebecca and Lauren were able to take in the sights and sounds that has made the Nevada-based city a popular haunt for those looking for a good time and included the famous 4.2 mile Las Vegas Strip and spectacular outdoor displays of the Bellagio fountains and volcano at The Mirage.

With the popular Nottingham night spot being owned by the Ceasars Entertainment Group,  Las Vegas seemed like the logical choice for venue director Mark Hands who set the duo the arduous sales targets.

Undeterred however, Rebecca and Lauren were determined to make sure they got on the plane and set about putting in place the strategy and plans that would secure Alea's position as the East Midlands' leading entertainment venue.

Rebecca said: "Our main focus was to make Alea one of the city's top places for an evening out so the trip to Vegas was a lovely bonus."However, we were both really determined to beat the targets set. Once there we had an absolutely fabulous time taking in the amazing sights and sounds and seeing Absinthe at Caesers Palace."

Some of the things Rebecca and Lauren have been heavily involved with included the launch of a new Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, introduction of glamorous shows like the Bollywood Extravaganza, new classes such as Samba dancing and regular live music all of which has helped draw in people who wouldn't necessarily have been to the venue before.

Lauren added: "We've had a lot of fun thinking up new ideas and organising the various events and activities at the venue and we never really set out to do them just to go on this amazing trip."What we've done is give people a reason to come here and enjoy themselves on a number of different levels and proves that if you're prepared to work hard you will get the rewards."

Mark Hands added: "Rebecca and Lauren totally deserved this. When I started at Alea my key objectives were to develop each member of my team therefore investing in the future foundations of the business, to re-launch the food and beverage outlets and create a venue perception rather than just a Casino. "I'm pleased to say that with the help of both Rebecca and Lauren we have achieved all of these goals which has been reflected in the sales."

New IR camera with One-Push Autofocus

Posted: 19 Apr 2013 12:34 AM PDT

The new Dallmeier DF4920HD-DN/IR is a weather-proof HD network camera with automatic Day/Night switching and integrated infrared illumination. The camera provides real-time Full HD video (1080p/30) using the H.264 codec and supports resolutions up to 3-megapixel.

Unique IR lighting concept As with its predecessor model, the

DF4920HD DN IR

DF4920HD-DN/IR disposes of a unique IR lighting concept: Contrary to most conventional IR cameras that use many small LEDs arranged circularly around the lens, the Dallmeier IR camera uses three large high-performance light-emitting diodes (semi-covert 850 nm high power LEDs). The camera thus achieves a very high irradiation output (up to a distance of 25m) and homogenous illumination even in the marginal areas.

Zoom, focus and iris control conveniently adjustable via web browser Equipped with the new motorized varifocal lens the IR camera can now be installed even easier and faster. Setting the focal length as well as focusing can now be conveniently performed over the network. The efficient and highly precise stepping motor technology for the positioning of the lens system of the fast lens allows for a quick and exact adjustment of the focal length (zoom) and focus (incl. One-Push Autofocus) setting over the web browser.

In conjunction with the Digital Image Shift function, which provides for a subsequent digital fine alignment of the image section, a convenient and straightforward installation process of the camera is guaranteed.

Ideal for indoor and outdoor applications
Built into an IP66-rated weather-proof enclosure, the camera is designed for both indoor and for outdoor applications. The camera is operated via Power over Ethernet which allows for an easy, quick and cost-effective cabling and commissioning.

Videonar on YouTube Detailed information on the Dallmeier IR camera can also be found on YouTube: In just under 6 minutes the video on http://youtu.be/o2IHHBQ4Pts describes the camera's unique lighting concept and shows how easily and conveniently it can be configured via a web browser. Functions such as zoom and focus adjustment, digital image shift, setting up privacy zones and optimum configuration of IR illumination are also explained in the video.
