‘Slot Summit’ at Casino Hohensyburg in Germany Posted: 30 Apr 2013 04:30 AM PDT
Dortmund, 26 April 2013. The newly renovated Casino Hohensyburg was the ideal host for this year's Slot Summit of the European Casino Association (ECA) in Germany. The summit enthused over 150 international experts between 23 – 25 April with future-oriented themes on gaming. Experiencing ultra-modern gaming and entertainment attractions at Germany's most beautiful casino made this a special attraction for conference guests.
What 'Davos' is for the global economy is the 'Slot Summit' for the world's casinos: a summit with a fascinating range of subjects. Casino managers and suppliers from Germany, Italy, Spain and many other countries not only made use of the Slot Summit to communicate on the latest challenges that the international casino industry faces but also had the chance to be inspired by these. Modern communication tools such as Social Media belonged to the schedule just as much games formats and innovative ways of designing gaming areas. The leading slot manufacturers gave an exciting preview of their product novelties and the makers of special equipment presented their next-generation casino solutions. Both participants and organisers were delighted with the diverse attractions of the newly renovated Casino Hohensyburg. Lucien Wijsman, the Slot Summit organiser, was impressed by the trend-setting mix of games and events, stating, "WestSpiel has set measures to create a unique entertainment concept at Hohensyburg. The games, entertainment and culinary offers are perfectly combined here and so offer visitors this unique blend of entertainment". Franz Hirthammer, Casino Hohensyburg managing director, and Reinhard Wehner, slots manager, were both pleased to have received such recognition. "We mobilised all possible reserves to make Casino Hohensyburg fit for the future. Thanks to our great, motivated team we have been successful in once again making Hohensyburg a main public attraction", explains Mr. Hirthammer. The casino industry has greatly changed in past years. "We compete with many leisure time activities. These are not just cinemas, theatres or concert halls but also the increasing number of street arcades as well as the growing and predominantly illegal internet gaming offers". The aim is to excite our guests over and over again, making the trip to Casino Hohensyburg an unforgettable experience. "Our colleagues at the Slot Summit have truly encouraged us", says Hirthammer. "We are making optimal inroads".
About WestSpiel The WestSpiel Group with headquarters in Duisburg operates six casinos throughout Germany: Aachen, Bad Oeynhausen, Bremen, Dortmund-Hohensyburg, Duisburg and Erfurt. The WestSpiel Group operates a further two casino slot halls in Aachen and Bremerhaven. Public authorities and charitable institutions received a total of 56.949 million euros from WestSpiel casino operations in 2012.
About the Slot Summit The Slot Summit is the industry conference for slots managers to learn and interchange their experience on bringing even better slots service to players. It was founded and is organised by Mr. Lucien Wijsman. Here for example, slot managers can benefit from correctly interpreting the player segmentation into time-on-device, fun and gamblers amongst much, much more subjects. This summit brings together manufacturers and suppliers with casino operators. The next Slot Summit will take place at Casino Enghien-Les-Bains in Paris between 10 and 12 December. As always, simultaneous translations will be available between the mother language of the country (here French of course) and English. Other languages will be offered on demand – depending on the number of attendees that register, such as from Italy and/or Spanish-speaking countries.
