| SPIELO INTERNATIONAL™ PROVIDES GALAXIS™ SYSTEM TO SOUTH KOREA’S LARGEST CASINO Posted: 17 Jun 2013 02:43 PM PDT
(JEONGSEONGUN, South Korea) – Kangwon Land, South Korea's largest casino located in Gangwon Province, recently finished deployment of SPIELO International™'s GALAXIS™ casino systems solutions on all of their 960 slot machines. Among the modules selected by Kangwon Land was GALAXIS Jackpots, which is used to centrally manage 153 different levels of progressive and mystery jackpots on 18 jackpot links, and there are 80 stand-alone jackpots.
Kangwon Land is the busiest casino in the country, and it is the only one that allows the admission of Koreans, as all others are exclusively for visitors. It is so busy that there are queues at the slot machines, which boast 95% occupancy. This made the slot system migration a challenge, as most of the slots are being played at any given time, but SPIELO International rose to the challenge. "We are extremely happy and satisfied with SPIELO International, their casino systems products, and also all of their staff that we dealt with. The whole migration was so smooth that it hardly affected our daily business. We would like to thank SPIELO International for their efforts on this project," said Ju Haejung, Senior Manager, System Management Department at Kangwon Land. A key strength of the GALAXIS casino system portfolio is that it offers robust, market-tested, modular solutions and customers can choose only the modules they need. SPIELO International also customized certain elements of GALAXIS for Kangwon Land, such as providing Korean language support for the system. Products chosen by Kangwon Land for installation at their facility include the following GALAXIS modules: Jackpots, BONUSING, Slots, Cashless, Marketing, Connect, and Multimedia. SPIELO International is committed to the Asian gaming market, and its Casino Systems division increased its market penetration by nearly 300% in 2012. As the business continues to grow significantly, the company will continue strengthening its local support teams and working closely with its customers, both through their distributors as well as directly in many Asian markets.

| Japan may legalise casinos this year Report by Morgan Stanley Posted: 17 Jun 2013 07:52 AM PDT
Several international casino operators, including Las Vegas Sands – the parent of Macau-based casino operators Sands China – have already expressed interest in Japan. US-based Wynn Resorts, which controls Wynn Macau, has also hinted its interest. Last week, opposition party Japan Restoration Party submitted a bill for legalising casinos to the Diet, the country's Legislative Assembly. It broke ranks with a 140-member cross-party group that wants to delay such a move until after upper house elections scheduled for July. | AND THEY’RE OFF… RACING POST JOCKEYS HELP LIGHTEN MONDAY MORNING COMMUTER MISERY Posted: 17 Jun 2013 05:51 AM PDT
Monday June 17, 2013 Racing Post ensured there were no long faces for London's army of workers this morning by unleashing a jamboree of jockeys on unsuspecting Underground users.
Three different teams of jockeys were each given a route to follow containing five lines and 30 stops – representing each day of Royal Ascot and the total number of races respectively – to promote the racing bible's unbeatable coverage of the world's most prestigious flat meeting and raise valuable funds for the Amateur Jockeys Association.
With starter's orders at 6.30am, the male and female jockeys were out of the stalls early for their Monday morning race around the capital's Tube system before converging on Canary Wharf station for the short trot back to Racing Post's headquarters at One Canada Square. "Commuting is never much fun – let alone on a Monday morning," said the Racing Post's Harriet Collins. "I hope Racing Post has put smiles on a few people's faces today, it was certainly a pretty colourful start to the morning. Huge thanks must go to the Amateur Jockeys Association who helped us achieve such a good response and hopefully it has added to the excitement of Royal Ascot."

| Isle of Man Post Office launches new digital mail service Posted: 17 Jun 2013 05:38 AM PDT
Isle of Man Post Office's Integrated Mailing Solutions (IMS) division has launched a digital scratch card product in partnership with Bluefish Media (BFIG) that can be incorporated with traditional and digital direct mail campaigns. IMS is Isle of Man Post Office's specialist communications division providing direct mailing and response solutions to the gaming industry.
Lisa Duckworth, Commercial Director, Isle of Man Post Office, commented: "Many operators use direct mail to great affect for customer acquisition and retention, by sending physical scratch cards in their direct mail mailings. However, an advance in technology and the increasing use of smart phone devices has led to an emerging mix of traditional and digital direct mail campaigns and the introduction of digital scratch cards. We can now offer customers the choice of incorporating a Quick Response (QR) code in the mail piece -which links directly to a digital scratch card – or continue the traditional way by sending out a physical scratch card as part of the direct mail piece, allowing for quicker response and instant engagement with the player, and incremental sales for the operator."
