GTECH TO LAUNCH TRUE 3D ON NEW CABINET AT G2E

Posted: 13 Aug 2013 12:31 PM PDT

(LAS VEGAS, Nevada) – GTECH, with its gaming product brand, SPIELO, is bringing gaming to life at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas from September 24 – 26, 2013. The highlight of Booth 1265 is the launch of Sphinx 3D™, a thrilling Egyptian adventure featuring glasses-free True 3D™ on the brand new AXXIS™ cabinet. The color-fidelity, brightness, and 3D depth have to be seen to be believed.

Sphinx 3D is the first title in GTECH's new True 3D product line, which uses a glasses-free 3D display designed exclusively for GTECH for the gaming industry by SeeFront. It uses a unique, patented autostereoscopic technology with integrated eye-tracking to make images jump off the screen or stretch into infinity in high resolution. Without wearing special or additional glasses, players can explore the on-screen vistas, change viewing angles without disrupting the 3D experience, and be amazed by wilds stacked on the z-axis that seem to rotate toward and jump out at them.

A five-reel, 30-line game, Sphinx 3D features an action-packed base game and a total of seven bonuses: two in the base game and five dedicated bonuses that players can select as part of the Sphinx Bonus selection.

The wow factor isn't limited to the industry-unique 3D experience. The new AXXIS cabinet is designed to create a sense of personal space, maximize player comfort, and immerse the player in the game with a state-of-the-art multimedia chair including rumble, surround-sound, and sliding mechanism for easy entry and adjustable player seating position for ultimate comfort.

The high resolution button panel with the latest touchscreen technology and full-scale illumination add to the premium feel of this package. And with an iconic illuminated sphinx head topping the unique cabinet, it stands out on the casino floor, making it eye-catching in more ways than one.

On June 3, 2013, SPIELO International's parent company, Lottomatica Group, changed its name to GTECH S.p.A. As part of this change, the company's formerly separate business units, including SPIELO International, are being brought together under the GTECH corporate brand name to become a unified, customer-facing structure. With this realignment, the company is taking the final steps to effectively deliver comprehensive gaming solutions that meet their customers' evolving requirements. G2E 2013 marks the first time SPIELO will appear as a product brand under the new GTECH corporate brand.

Sphinx 3D is only the first product to be launched out of a full complement of cabinets, games, systems, and software, including products for both land-based and iGaming operations. Visit Booth 1265 at G2E 2013 to see much more, and to find out how GTECH is bringing gaming to life.

EAG International Predicts Upbeat Start To 2014

Posted: 13 Aug 2013 12:24 PM PDT

EAG International's organisers have indicated that the show's 2014 edition, taking place January 21st-23rd, is set to be the best ever. With a smart new look, increased stand bookings and added input from BALPPA, organisers are determined to give exhibiting and visiting leisure professionals alike the best possible start to the new year.

EAG International Chairman Marin Burlin explains: "Now in its fifth year, EAG International has become an established feature of the amusement and leisure industry calendar. It's interesting to note that despite being launched during a period of recession, the show has continued to grow. Many of our exhibitors and industry colleagues are cautiously alluding to 'green shoots' of recovery and we are absolutely committed to delivering the best possible start to 2014.

"To date, stand bookings are ahead of last year, with 75% of the show's available floor space already sold. In addition, we’ll be supporting exhibitors with our largest ever international media campaign involving a number of new publications, both terrestrial and digital.

"The new BALPPA team are also working closely with us under the leadership of Paul Kelly, reflecting the show's increasing appeal to attractions operators," revealed Martin.

EAG International organisers have confirmed that the show is also set to benefit from a website make-over and enhanced social media presence following its successful introduction in support of this year's show.

Regular visitors are sure to notice an increase in activity at the ExCel venue which will be much busier than in previous years. Karen Cooke of organiser Swan Events explains: "Next year we won't have the whole of ExCel to ourselves so visitors will be able to experience a greater choice of food and beverage outlets plus other facilities. We urge exhibitors and visitors to reserve their hotel accommodation early so that their preferences can be met. EAG International's accommodation partner, Event Express, gives an excellent service and may be contacted via the show's website: www.eagexpo.com"

EAG International has always prided itself on being a show which exists purely for the benefit of trade exhibitors and visitors. Martin Burlin added: "EAG International provides a great opportunity for amusement and leisure professionals to view the latest products and technology as well as to network both informally and in a more structured way at events surrounding the show.  EAG International has a life of its own, with all stakeholders having input and the opportunity to contribute to its shape. It's a dynamic show put on by industry professionals exclusively for the benefit of industry professionals and that's why it's unique."
