New Teaching Resources linked to The Lion King

A few years ago, I organised a number of class trips to London to see the musical version of The Lion King as part of a topic linked to films and media. This was always a fantastic experience for the children (and staff) and it provided us with lots of follow-up learning opportunities back in the classroom. Lots of related teaching resources were available (and they still are here) and some new ones have just been created.

 The Lion King

The new resources have just been published for KS2 and KS3 teachers (ages 7-14) to use with their classes. They are called ‘The Spirit of the Lion King‘ and focus on community and responsibility. Two downloadable lessons are available on the resource site, along with printable resource sheets, interactive presentations and a gallery of images.

The resources aim to support Citizenship work, whilst also supporting Literacy and drama skills and are all available here. Watch a short video about The Lion King here:
