School Trips and Lesson Resources from Scout Activity Centres Posted: 14 Oct 2013 11:10 AM PDT
The Scout Association have recently updated their site offering information about their Scout Activity Centres. The centres provide exciting outdoor activities, residential opportunities for schools and other groups, as well as team building activities for adults. The site has a huge amount of information if you’re considering taking your class on a school trip to one of the centres, along with lesson ideas for primary and secondary schools. There are also a number of upcoming free open days for teachers and group leaders to find out more about the activities that each centre offers. The new Resources area on the site is particularly useful, offering guides to help your children to learn outdoor skills and recipes to try when cooking in the great outdoors. There are even sets of detailed lesson plans that are great for use before or after a trip to the Scout Activity Centres, but schools can use them even if they’re not planning a trip.
