Prepare for the new Maths curriculum with #CrowdSourcedMaths

Posted: 20 Oct 2013 11:15 AM PDT

I’ve mentioned Peter Richardson a number of times here on Teaching News. He was previously featured as a Brilliant Blogger of the Week and he has set up a number of exciting projects for teachers including the Map of Outdoor Learning Experiences.

His latest project, called #CrowdSourcedMaths, aims to help teachers with their planning for the 2014 National Curriculum for Mathematics. Peter is hoping that teachers will share ideas and resources linked to the objectives of the new curriculum. He has created Google documents that include all of the end of year objectives, split up into progression maps.

The documents can be edited by anyone, allowing other teachers to add ideas and resources that link with the objectives shown. It’s a great idea and it could build up into a fantastic resource for educators. Take a look at the documents here and add your own ideas / resources / links if you can. You can also find out more about the project on Peter’s blog.
