New Persuasive Writing Resources from Teaching Packs

Last week, we added a new pack of teaching resources to our Teaching Packs site. The Persuasive Writing Pack includes 92 resources that can be used to teach children about this exciting Literacy topic:

  • Persuasive Writing Posters – A set of guides that can be used when you are teaching children about the features of persuasive writing, or as reference resources on a classroom display.
  • Examples of persuasive writing to analyse and improve.
  • Planning resources, writing frames and checklists for self-assessment.
  • Suggested persuasive words, phrases and connectives (on word mats and printable display labels).
  • Advertising posters – Can your children think of persuasive ways of encouraging people to spend their money on these items?
  • Persuasive situations – Think of ‘for’ and ‘against’ arguments for the different situations shown in the images on these resources.
  • Display banners and much more!

  • We’ve also set up a Teaching Packs newsletter recently that offers free resources and information about updates to the site. Sign up here.
  • A free Preview Pack is available for download. It includes a selection of resources from all of the Teaching Packs on the site so you can take a look at the packs before you become a member.
