Resource Site of the Week: Teachit Primary Posted: 01 Oct 2012 10:00 AM PDT
Here is the next post in our Resource Site of the week series. Have you found any great resources on these sites? Teachit Primary launched in 2008, and is a part of a small family of online teaching resource sites founded by teacher Siobhain Archer, as a way to share classroom resources with colleagues. All of the thousands of resources that they publish are created by primary classroom teachers, who share their favourite resources and gain a share of the site’s revenues in return. The site covers the whole of the primary curriculum, and all of the resources are freely available in PDF format. Members have access to editable MS Word and PowerPoint versions of resources too, as well as suites of numeracy and literacy interactives, and interactive whiteboard resources. The most popular areas of the site include the project packs, interactive tools, and the latest additions page. The team have just launched a new set of numeracy interactives and they're very excited about Robotspell, a brilliant tool for supporting spelling which will be on the site this autumn. Teachit also provide a number of other teaching resource sites, including Teachit, Teachit World, Teachit Maths and many more. Teachit Primary have kindly offered a discount code for readers of Teaching News. Simply enter TEACHINGIDEAS2012 on the registration page to receive a 20% online discount on your membership.
