Resource Site of the Week: NRICH Posted: 22 Oct 2012 10:00 AM PDT
Here is another great resource site for you to explore… NRICH is a team of qualified teachers who are also practitioners in RICH mathematical thinking. They offer advice and support to both learners and teachers of mathematics. For teachers, the site offers a huge collection of Maths activities, with clear explanations, key questions, extension suggestions and more. The ideas and resources are clearly organised into Early Years, Primary and Secondary sections so that teachers can find the most appropriate content for their lessons. The site also has curriculum maps so that you can find activities linked to particular topics and objectives. There is also a fantastic selection of starter problems to help teachers to focus on specific skills. For students, there are lots of interesting Maths challenges and investigations, suitable for all ages and abilities. The Ask a Mathematician service is a great way for students to get help with their Maths difficulties. They also offer a free mailing list that helps teachers to keep up to date with their latest news. |
