NEW RECRUITMENT SYSTEM LAUNCHED BY THE RANK GROUP

Posted: 08 Nov 2012 08:15 AM PST

Thursday, 8 November 2012 Finding and applying for jobs at The Rank Group is becoming much easier as the company launches its innovative new recruitment portal. Links to micro-sites for each of the Rank Group brands, including  Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Bingo, will be found on a wide range of platforms including Facebook and LinkedIn, online job boards, press adverts  and in Jobcentres.  Job-seekers will find that the application process is stream-lined with an automated system alerting job applicants to the progress of their application at all stages of the process.

At the Rank Group end, teams in the 130+ Rank Group Bingo clubs and casinos, and in the Group's online businesses, can easily post available jobs with applications managed via a joint database shared

across the brands. Existing team members will be able to see available roles on Rank Group internal channels, maximising opportunities for career development within the company.

The new system enables easy distribution of job information and relevant company background. It also significantly increases the speed and efficiency of data collection relating to different recruitment channels.

The portals for Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Bingo are already live with portals for the rest of the Rank Group following shortly.

The system has been developed following a year- long initiative run by the HR department of the Rank Group, reviewing the total employment journey of Rank Group teams from finding job ads through to induction, training and development across the company.

Says Rank Group HR director Sue Waldock:" The new recruitment system provides our existing teams and external candidates, with a very slick experience. We are making it easier for job candidates to identify and apply for our roles; we are improving our ability to leverage talent from within our existing 8,000-strong team, and the whole process is more consistent and cost-effective than before."
