Support Help for Heroes with the Hat Trick Challenge Posted: 07 Nov 2012 09:00 AM PST
Help for Heroes is a charity which provides direct, practical support to wounded, injured and sick Service personnel, veterans, and their families. This is provided through grants to individuals and other Service charities, capital build projects and support for life at their four Recovery Centres across the UK. The charity is asking primary schools to get involved with a special challenge… the Heroes Hat Trick. The aim for this is to give children an idea of the many challenges faced by wounded, sick and injured service men and women every day. It's a fun challenge that pupils can enter into as a pair, trying to keep all of their points. The first event is a 3 legged obstacle course, the second event sees one pupil blind folded and guided by the partner over the same obstacles and finally each pupil will have 5 attempts to put a ball through a high hoop from a seated position. You can find out more about the event and request a DVD with more information at this site and watch the video below to see some of the challenges being tried: |
