EAG International Expo Comes Of Age

Posted: 18 Feb 2013 01:18 PM PST

On 24th January, the fourth EAG International closed its doors to industry wide recognition and praise as exhibitors and visitors proclaimed the Expo a "resounding success".

Indeed, with EAG International Expo 2013 enjoying record breaking attendance, according to DC Digital Centre's Josep Torres, "this show was best event we have enjoyed in our company's 16 years' experience."

Despite enduring the very worst of British weather, everyone rallied to prove beyond all doubt the resilience of the industry and the importance of EAG as a standalone event which continues an important 70 year historic tradition of a curtain raising event being staged during the third week of January.

Exhibitors representing all sectors reported brisk business throughout the show's three days, with the organisers receiving many favourable comments about the quality of buyers. Bandai Namco Games' John Brennan was very positive about visitors to the company's stand. "Initially we were a little worried about footfall," he confided, "but we've had really good quality visitors and they weren't tyre kickers. They had the tenacity to get here in spite of the weather," praised John.

Currency handling specialist Astrosystems had a similar experience. "The first day of the show was OK and the second day was the best ever. The show has delivered quality buyers," confirmed General Manager Debbie Malin.

Sega Amusements Europe's Justin Burke was in no doubt about EAG International's effectiveness: "We had the best ever first day and were still seeing customers right up to the last minute of the final day," reported Justin.

Commenting on the show's attendance, EAG International Expo Chairman Martin Burlin confirmed numbers were up on the previous year: "EAG International 2013 received a total of 5,411 unique visitors which was marginally up on the previous year (5,333).  Including those attending more than one day this represents a total of over 7,000 visits with an incredible 28% attendance being international and visiting from more than 59 countries. The statistics actually show the first day was busiest and busier than last year but what really counts, however, are the individual experiences of exhibitors and visitors. From what they are telling us, these have been overwhelmingly positive. Our first time exhibitors, including those targeting the attractions sector, also reported a successful show," explained Martin.

First time exhibitor Maple Moose was delighted with the company's debut. Director Peter Carr commented: "We've had a good show and the industry has responded well to our 'eatertainment' solution. We could have done with another three days!" he enthused.

Holiday Parks Management's Nina Blanchard was also delighted with her company's initiation to EAG: "We've had a very productive show which has brought us some excellent clients in the Holiday Park industry. We'll definitely be back!"

Media Theme Entertainment also had a positive show. "This is the first time we've done this show and we're very pleasantly surprised. We'll definitely do it again," reported the company's Ian Ball.

Martin Burlin continued: "The EAG Master Classes were very well received with a record 150 attendees for the MGD session. I was also particularly gratified to read that the editor of a prominent industry publication commenting on his overriding feeling at the end of the show said that he believed we're now talking about the future of the sector, not a sector without a future." EAG International organisers have confirmed that fifth Expo will take place at ExCel London on 21-23rd January 2014.

The Outperformer – the new Performer Grand Arc from Amatic Industries

Posted: 18 Feb 2013 01:56 AM PST

This year's ICE was an opportunity for AMATIC Industries to once again be present on a major stand in central position in the exhibition hall. This year's ICE took place during the 20th anniversary of AMATIC Industries – 20 years of innovation, made in Austria.

The three major pillars of AMATIC Industries were on proud display – land-based multi-game, electronic roulettes and online / mobile multi-game.

Olivia Weissgerber and Reinhold Bauer of AMATIC Industries

The Performer becomes the Outperformer The new Performer Grand Arc slant top was the highlight of the AMATIC stand. This wonderfully designed slant top cabinet is available in a two or three screen version. In particular, the curved design stands out when three screens are implemented. Shaped like a half moon, it is a design that is unique in the international gaming industry. Visitors to the AMATIC stand were amazed on how such a design has been made possible. The 27" monitors in high definition further add to this unique experience. Naturally, the upright Performer – also in a design that breaks the mold – was on proud display. This Performer houses two 22" monitors.

A number of new quality games were premiered during the ICE, including Diamond Cats, Fruit Kaboom!, Mermaid's Gold, Royal Unicorn, Roman Legion and Train Robbery – the latter being the new installment of the hugely popular Billy's Gang game. The Multi Games continue to draw in international customers and AMATIC personnel registered increase demand and order taking for such Multi Games.

Roulette: Double fun and double chances – thanks to Grand Jeu Double The electronic roulette series from AMATIC Industries combine elegance and a sleek design, functionality and durability, security and longevity. The original Grand Jeu electronic roulette is still a favourite. Today it is joined by the Double which continues to attract players in any location. Depending on local requirements, players can either choose to bet on one wheel or even two. The high definition graphics and four large screens above the wheel further add to a heightened player experience.

The Classic Roulette: Grand Jeu Prestige The single wheel, 8-player Grand Jeu Prestige is the electronic roulette that AMATIC Industries is best known for. Its reputation for drawing in players has made it a firm favourite in many countries, for example in Spain. Again, its excellent design, elegance, performance and longevity are all guarantors for optimal roulette entertainment.

Online Gaming – now also ready for mobile For more than two years the proven games of AMATIC Industries can be played online at Grand X http://www.grandx.com and Multi Win Casino http://www.multiwincasino.com .

AMATIC Industries brought another highlight to ICE: Now the complete game portfolio of AMATIC Industries is available for mobile devices. For more information, please refer to http://mobile.AMATIC.com .

The ever-popular multi-games are thus available everywhere at any time: land-based gaming machines, online and mobile.

Every licensed online operator can now use the game content of AMATIC Industries by integrating them into their platform – in every possible form – so on gaming machines to online gaming right to the simplicity of offering AMATIC games on mobile devices.

Mr. Reinhold Bauer, CEO, looks back on a very pleasing ICE, stating, "We had the opportunity to look back on twenty years of innovation. More importantly, we sent the signal to our customers for today's innovations. We have continually focused on bringing new, quality gaming experiences to the market.  Designing new gaming machines is always a challenge and the new Performer cabinet outperformed even our expectations".
