Register now for Number Day 2013

Posted: 12 Jul 2013 10:00 AM PDT

NSPCC Number Day is a national schools fundraising event for children and young people of all ages. It was launched in 2000 and has raised over £1.1 million to support the NSPCC’s work with vulnerable children across the UK.

The aim of Number Day is to:

  • Make maths fun and instigate a positive ‘can do’ attitude towards it,
  • Raise money to protect children who need our help,
  • Raise awareness about the work of the NSPCC.

Number Day

On Number Day, your children could have a 'Dress Up For Digits Day' where pupils make a small donation to wear an item of clothing with a number on it, or take part in quizzes such as 'Who Wants to be a Mathionnaire'. These are just a few suggestions, so why not ask your children what Maths-themed activities they would like to try on the day?

Number Day 2013 is planned for 3rd December 2013, but you can get involved now by registering on the Number Day site. Fundraising packs will then be sent out to registered schools next term and free Maths teaching resources will be available to download later in the year.
