Free Teaching Resources from BBC Children in Need Posted: 03 Nov 2013 11:12 AM PST
The BBC’s annual Children in Need event is taking place this year on Friday 15th November. The project provides grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. Schools are being encouraged to get involved in fundraising activities to help make a difference. Free teaching resources have just been published on the Children in Need site for Early Years, Primary and Secondary teachers to use. These include a number of assemblies (with teacher’s guides and Powerpoint presentations) and some ‘five minute activities’ that schools can adapt to use with different classes. There are also some printable resources, including Pudsey countdown signs and posters. Take a look at the Schools section on the Children in Need site to find out more. Boots Learning Store also has a large collection of resources for schools who are planning a Children in Need project. The site offers an interactive storybook, an assembly ideas pack, lesson plans, printable resources and more to support learning in the primary school. Download the resources here.
