Resources and Educational Visits from English Heritage

Posted: 21 Feb 2012 10:00 AM PST

English Heritage are opening 24 of their top properties exclusively for education visits on Mondays and Fridays in March 2012. This allows children to have a whole castle or abbey as their ‘classroom’ for their visit. This also means that teachers and group leaders don’t have to worry about their groups getting in the way of other visitors and members of the public! Find out more about this on the English Heritage site here.

English Heritage also offer a considerable range of educational resources that are designed to support learning visits to their sites. Teachers can access a special online magazine which includes lots of ideas and special teachers’ kits, including a new one based around the different types of ‘hole’ that you might find in castles.

Have you visited any English Heritage properties with your class?
