Plymouth University and the National Marine Aquarium have recently launched a new competition that challenges young people to think about the problem of marine litter. Anyone aged from 7 to 18 can take part by recording examples of marine litter, sharing their views and thinking about potential solutions.

A ‘significant cash prize’ will be given to the winner and they will also be invited to attend the European premiere of their film in Germany. Schools need to register by 8th November to guarantee their place in the competition but the deadline for entries is not until 14th February 2014.

Teachers can find out more about the competition on Marlisco’s site. Good luck!
